Gloss Varnish is a transparent, protective topcoat that you can apply to your paintings to create a shiny, reflective surface. In addition to the aesthetic value of gloss, varnish also provides protection against dust, dirt, moisture, and UV rays, allowing the colors to retain their shine for longer and making the artwork more durable.
How to use
Once you are ready to varnish, first make sure the painting is completely dry. If it is even slightly damp, the varnish will mix with the wet paint and leave marks on the canvas.
Spray the gloss varnish evenly on the painting and, if necessary, you can use a brush to coat it well. This way, you will get the varnish in between everything, so that it is really well sealed and protected.

This spray gloss really gives your painting a professional finished look. One warning, though…if the numbers on your canvas were printed in a pink/purpleish color, DO NOT use the gloss!!! My painting, “Almond Blossom” had these dark pink numbers. It took 2-3 coats to finally cover the numbers. The painting was done and dry. I sprayed the gloss and then, to my sad surprise, ALL the numbers reappeared through the paint!! There was a weird chemical reaction. So, if your numbers are in a pink color, don’t use this product!!!
